Cooling Systems decrease heat temperatures to help other engine parts work correctly. Inside your engine, spark plugs start up the gas within the cylinders to produce little explosions that move your car down the road. These little explosions create burning temperatures that could damage your engine, if not regulated. With the majority of cooling systems, a liquid coolant is delivered via passages in the engine and absorbs the heat energy given off by the engine.
